Italy.- A man was sentenced to pay a fine of more than 500 euros after having shut the cat of his wife out in the balcony of the apartment.

Allessandro Marchesi would have locked the animal outside because this one had urinated on his suitcase.

When she came back home, Ms Marchesi had a violent fight with the man after discovering that her cat had been expulsed outside the apartment.

She contacted the members of an animal’s protection company, whose lawyers took the matter to justice.

The tribunal finally sentenced the man to pay a fine of 500 euros to his wife Laura.

The money will cover the veterinary costs and the emotional damages caused to the pet and the owner.

Elephants strolling around in a Zambia hotel

The Mfuwe Lodge welcomes special guests

Telegraph / Picture Mfuwe Lodge

Elephants strolling around in a Zambia hotelIt’s not everyday that you see a wild elephant standing next to you at the reception of a hotel.
But in the Mfuwe Lodge in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, the sight of one or even ten elephants strolling around the lobby is a regular occurrence.

Unwittingly built on the elephant’s traditional path in 1998, the Mfuwe Lodge stands directly en-route to this elephant herd’s favourite food - wild mangoes.

Andy Hogg, 44, Director at the Bushcamp Company that runs the Mfuwe Lodge, has lived in the South Luangwa national park since 1982.

But in his 26 years of dealing with wild animals in the Zambian national park, Andy has never seen such intimate interaction between man and beast.
This is the only place in the world where elephants freely get so close to humans, says the 44-year-old.

The elephants start coming through base camp in late November of each year to eat the mangoes from our trees.

First picture of Bao Xishun’ babyThe world’s tallest man, China’s Bao Xishun, became the world’s tallest father this week with the birth of his first child, a boy whose initial height seems a compromise between his gigantic dad and average-sized mum.

Although slightly taller than average for newborn children, Bao’s boy came up well short of the 29.5 inches (75 centimeters) claimed as a record birth length last year, also in China.

Bao is quite happy. The baby is healthy and a normal size, the hospital’s senior doctor Zhang told Reuters.
Bao, a 7-foot-9-inch herdsman from Inner Mongolia, last year married Xia Shujuan, a pygmy by contrast at 5-foot-6 inches.

I hope he or she can be about 2 meters tall, Bao, 57, said last year about his wishes for a child. Then he or she can play basketball.

He then went back to the murky water and swam across to the other side of the moat, climbing up the 8-metre (9-yard) stone wall of the palace. He was caught by two policemen, after a chase media said lasted for an hour and a half.

I’ve never heard of anyone doing such a thing, an unidentified man at the scene told TV Tokyo. He must be a bit crazy.

It called the penguin release the largest ever in South America.

The penguins, which had been kept at an animal rehabilitation centre in the northeastern city of Salvador, were flown on an air force C130 turboprop plane usually used for heavy military cargo to southern Brazil and set free on Saturday…

Zigonet / Picture Legally Blond

A blonde woman’s lawsuit, claiming L’Oreal Inc. ruined her social life after one of its hair-dye products turned her into a brunette, was thrown out of court Monday when a Connecticut judge ruled it didn’t pass the strand test.

A Superior Court judge said Charlotte Feeney of Stratford never proved her allegation that L’Oreal put brown hair dye in a box labeled as blonde.

Feeney had claimed she was so traumatized after she accidentally used the wrong color dye and found she couldn’t return to her natural blonde hue, that she needed anti-depressants.

She also said she had to wear hats and stay home because she suffered from headaches and anxiety, not to mention that she missed the attention blondes receive.

A cute relationship

Daily Mail / Picture Barry Bland, Barcroft Media

When two white tiger cubs were born during a hurricane they had to be separated from their mother after their sanctuary flooded.

However they have since found an unlikely surrogate mother in chimpanzee Anjana, who has taken on the role of caring for the cubs.

These adorable images will melt even the most cynical of hearts.

The two-year-old chimp has been helping keeper China York care for the 21-day-old cubs at The Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species (TIGERS) in South Carolina.

Mitra and Shiva, were born during Hurricane Hannah, said Dr Bhagavan, founder of TIGERS.

During that time everything flooded in the sanctuary and they had to be moved into the house as their mother became stressed.

It was important for their safety that they were separated.

Placed into the care of infant animal care giver China and her chimpanzee companion, Anjna, the cubs have become almost inseparable from their new motherly figures.

New therapy: Massages with snakes

Massages with snakesA new…special relaxation way

Lemon Drop / Picture Getty Images

We’ve heard of the fish pedicure and the butt facial, but one spa treatment gives new meaning to making your skin crawl

At Ada Barak’s Carnivorous Plant Farm in northern Israel, patrons lie on a massage table while Barak places snakes all over their bodies.

The size of the snakes depends on the type of massage : large snakes alleviate deeper muscle tensions, smaller ones create a fluttering effect.

Barak, who began offering the service at the Talmey El’Azar tourist attraction last year, believes that the relaxing power of the $80 massage comes from the customer’s initial fear and then subsequent flood of relief upon discovering that the snakes are not only harmless but, yes, silky smooth.

Artist wins gold and silver in the culinary Olympic games

Thanks to her wonderful creations

Artist wins gold and silver in the culinary Olympic gamesMetro.uk/ Picture DR

Michelle Wibowo celebrated a double triumph in the Patisserie Showpiece section of the International Culinary Olympics.

She cooked up a storm with a lifesize hound dog-shaped sugar sculpture, which won her gold, and picked up silver for a cake of Elizabeth I.

It took Ms Wibowo four days and 20kg (44lb) of sugar paste to make the dog.
She said: It’s really heavy. I got the inspiration from the Elvis song You Ain’t Nothing But A Hound Dog.

It was fun making it and putting on little details like the drool.

It was the first time the 30-year-old, who is a trained architect turned cake maker, had attended the Olympics in Erfurt, central Germany. About 1,600 cooks from more than 50 countries battled for the culinary crown.

She won’t have much time to bask in her Olympic glory though – she has been commissioned to make a 120kg (265lb) cow for a wedding and a tasty version of London’s Museum of Childhood.

But that didn’t stop him making the 30-minute trip to the civil ceremony at a makeshift altar in a local town hall in his home town of Monterrey.

The former car parts dealer was transported to the wedding on his specially-reinforced four-poster bed, draped with cream and gold and adorned in bright sunflowers, on the back of a truck.

Dressed in a white satin shirt and with a sheet covering his legs, Mr Uribe smiled broadly, gave the thumbs up and waved to passers-by as the truck headed towards the wedding.
His bride, wearing in a strapless ivory satin dress, a tiara and holding a bouquet of fresh lilies, looked equally as excited, smiling for the swarm of international photographers.

On a Rumanian website specialising in used cars

Crazy Funny/ Okazzi.ro

A Romanian man got fed up of his wife nagging and put her up for sale on a website specialising in used cars.

The ad that he put on the website www.okazii.ro reads: Wife for sale. Model 1983, good condition. Full option, nice suspensions, spacious boot, second owner.

Price is negotiable, comes with three-year-old and five-year-old accessories. Seriousness demanded.

He was hoping to get around $6,000,000 but has lowered his price to $4,700 for a quick sale. ( nice discount don´t you agree ?)

So far he had received few unacceptable offers such as low price or buyers wanted to buy her in instalments.
